BISHOP CARLITO CENZON TO LEAD THOUSANDS IN RALLY FOR TREES, AGAINST SM
By Michael A. Bengwayan
Bishop Carlito Cenzon will lead the March 23 rally for trees and against SM on March 23 where thousands of Baguio citizens, parishioners and anti-tree cutting and anti-earth-balling environmentalists will be attending.
This was finalized and announced at a meeting at the Conference Room of Notre Dame where leading church and convent leaders attended including key persons in the protest against SM. I was invited and attended the said exclusive meeting.
I will be reading the adverse impacts of tree cutting and earth-balling including those intended to be carried out by SM.
The Prayer Protest Rally will have three venues, first at Malcolm Square. After a Penitential Rite, Readings, Blessings and a Message from Bishop Cenzon, the crowd will move to Igorot Park to symbolize the Cordillera Peoples struggles against abuse and destruction of the Cordilleran environment.
The last place of gathering will be at Melvin Jones to accommodate the expected thousands of prayers participants and protestors.
All participants will start gathering at 2 pm before the monumental event will start at 3 pm.
